Tuna’s highly delicate meat must be timely and skillfully tended in order for it to retain its exceptional savior, quality and vibrant color. Even a few hours impose a difference in the exactitude of the tuna’s meat character.
In delivering only the highest quality tuna, the Astan family employs a single supply chain with full transparency protocol. By operating our own vessels along with processing factories, ensures that Astan tunas are sustainably caught, packed and shipped directly to our customers without delay.

SELECTING THE PERFECT TUNA

Not all tunas are created equal. Before being branded as an Astan Premium Gold Tuna Loin, each tuna is individually and exhaustively inspected. Our master artisans skillfully look to spot any and all imperfections. From our daily catch, only a select few tunas possess the unique characteristics to pass our most rigorous standards.

CARVED TO PERFECTION

Prior to our final inspection, Astan’s highly skilled master artisans, delicately carve out each tuna loin. This meticulous process ensures that each and every tuna loin has met all of Astan's high standards prior to being packed and shipped.

LET IT BLOOM

For Astan Premium Gold Fresh Tuna Loins to naturally maintain their freshness, exceptional color, unique and exquisite savior throughout their journey to our customers, each tuna loin is vigilantly prepared with our proprietary BLOOM-Naturale™ wrapping.
When ready to be served, Astan tuna loins simply need to be exposed to air for 45 minutes and will then BLOOM to their perfect Naturale state of being freshly caught, optimal color and savory taste.

MR. RAMANOFF CAVIARCHI 1799-1885

An industry influencer and the first of the Caviarchi family to create the rich tradition we know today. His mastery in hand reeling sturgeon fish in the shores of the Caspian Sea, and selecting the freshest of fish to collect the eggs created what is know as Caviar today. This revolutionary methods were shared with his son Mr. Fatalioff Caviarchi and they both were known as the pioneers of their time, earning the surname Caviarchi, meaning “Caviar nobleman”.

His pioneering spirit infused all aspects of Seafood artisanship and pleasure. A passionate Seafood expert and a philanthropist, he pioneered the modern technology for extracting the caviar roe and became one of the most renowned caviar experts of his time.

Mr. Amad Astandoust 1885-1964

A visionary in all regards. In time, Astandoust became the largest producer of Caspian-whitefish in the region of Bandar-e Anzali. The surname reflects his fame as a fish Artisan: ‘Astan’ relates to the Caspian fish provinces and ‘doust’ meaning a passionate person. Combining these terms, Astandoust, translates to a “Passionate Fish Artisan.”
